Overview
Zapier is a no-code automation platform that links web applications through workflows called Zaps. A trigger in one app starts a sequence of actions in others, such as adding a new form submission to a CRM and posting a message in Slack.
It is used by operations, marketing and sales teams that want to automate routine work without engineering help. Its main advantage is the size of its app directory, and it has added Tables, Interfaces and AI agent features around the core workflow builder.
Key features
- App integrationsPrebuilt connectors for thousands of SaaS applications.
- Multi-step ZapsChain actions with filters, paths, delays and formatting steps.
- Tables and InterfacesStore workflow data and build simple forms and pages without a separate tool.
- AI featuresAdd AI steps to workflows and build agents that act across connected apps.
- Webhooks and codeCall APIs with webhooks or run short JavaScript or Python steps when needed.
Best for
- Non-technical teams automating work between SaaS tools
- Small businesses that need integrations without developers
- Teams that rely on niche apps with limited automation support elsewhere
